Busy, busy little bees that we are, we were running around all weekend. On Friday night, the girls in the neighborhood had a Fall Food Fest! What fun! We all brought something made from one of the fall fruits - pumpkin, cranberry, apple or pear. We enjoyed a phenomenal variety of very tasty items ranging from pumpkin pie martinis to roast pork loin with apple raisin chutney to cranberry sage ravioli to pumpkin cheesecake. It was great to see everyone and needless to say a tasteful experience for us all!
Saturday, we ran errands. Laura had plans on campus and Dennis was off to the Crew play-off game on Saturday night. [Our boys on the Crew won! Now they are off to the finals!] Rus and I enjoyed going to on a date - dinner and a movie. The weather is changing here on the prairie and winter is setting in. We had snow flurries one night as we walked the dog and have already had a delayed opening due to heavy fog and frost. Had to turn down a couple of subbing opportunities to go on interviews this week. [Amazingly, they did call at 5 am. Hmmm... misinformation? :)] I had two interviews - both are interesting prospects. Not sure what they will bring, but keeping my fingers crossed that something comes along soon.
