The Last Weekend in June

This was a quiet weekend. Saturday was a day of horrific storms. Saturday night we went to Diya's First birthday at an Indian Restaurant in Columbus. It was a delightful evening. Sunday morning, Dennis asked if we go shopping to help decide on a gift for Heather and Oren's wedding. In the end, he decided by himself. We scoped out another Metro Park. This one touted to be rural with three interconnecting creeks for kayaking. It looked promising, but the storms rolling in prevented us from getting out of the car. Though we had the clubs in the car to hit a few on the way home, with the darkening skies, we decided to head home instead. Thankfully after the rain and wind the temperature dropped and the sky cleared. We had a nice dinner, talking about preparing for the upcoming week. We spoke to Jocelyn, Brian and Megan and heard all about their adventure at the Boston Aquarium. After we had walked the dog for the night, we could hear fireworks in the distance. We forgot that this weekend was the kick-off for Red, White and Boom! Ten days of fireworks displays all over the Columbus area. We sat in our yard and watched 30 mins. of a distant fireworks display. It was great! Here is a picture! Enjoy!
