First time in a kayak

One of the things we did in this visit was to go to Alum Creek State Park with Grandpa's kayaks. We even had a child's size life vest for the princess. When we got to the launch area, Brian, Megan and Jocelyn ventured into the lake first! Jocelyn rode with Daddy, as you can see. She wasn't the least bit afraid -- seeing the park, geese, and other boaters from the center of the lake. After many years of not being seafaring, Megan did a great job of kayaking. Everyone had a turn paddling around. While the kayaks were occupied, the rest of us played in the field with the lawn toys, watched the motor boats being launched, and flew the giant kite. A good time was had by all!
