It was a
brilliant plan- go to the pottery store, paint up a couple of coffee mugs with Jocelyn's handprints -- one for Brian and one for Rus -- for Father's Day. After spending over an hour, carefully painting her
Nemo orange, taking her time, being so grown-up for a 2 year old, sitting such a long time,
The moment had arrived to paint Megan and Jocelyn's hands for the hand prints. With Megan's hand painted a lovely shade of the Blue-Man-group-blue, Grandma made one strategic error! She asked
the fellow at the store to assist in the printing. Needless to say, with Jocelyn's aversion to strange men, the plan flew out the store front window! We regrouped. Megan repainted Brian's mug and put stars on it with Jocelyn. Jocelyn painted flowers on half of Grandpa's mug. She made thumb print balloons on the other half! The mugs turned out beautifully, despite
generational artistic differences! LOL That is my story and I am sticking to it!
